Life is an exciting journey, complete with unexpected, and often unwanted, road blocks. As you can imagine, this usually happens at the worst of times, like when I have a publishing deadline. No matter what roadblock life sends - and she has sent many - I always seem to have three options:
1) I can sit and wait for the obstacle to move out of my way, like waiting for the dump truck to back out onto the road.
2) I can turn around and try to figure out a better route, especially when there are no detour signs to guide me.
3) I can change directions and go somewhere else, like going to the gas station instead of to the store.

For me as a writer, number three is never an option. It is one thing to change directions while dealing with life's day-to-day challenges, but writing is my calling, my passion and I do not want to even think about giving it up for something different.
Option number one is rarely as option because I am not willing to just sit around and wait, especially when other people are depending on me.
In January I started packing as I knew we would move at the end of February but we
ended up moving twice in March. As you know, moving is up on the list of high-stress activities. Then with other commitments, like writing an Investor
Proposal for an awesome business man, I ended up with time commitment
issues. Option number two became the option I had to choose with these major
road blocks. It took too much time, but I believe it was time well-spent.

Now I have better time management and am relieved to be going forward again with my own writing. I wish you a good day. I'm off to work on our next volume, and to find out what kind of trouble Zeke and Abe are into this time.
